And in keeping with the fantastic design and completed work Modern Beach Homes produces, Suncoast Internet has complimented these stunning architectural works with a work of art all of its own, the Modern Beach Homes website.

Suncoast Internet is proud to be associated with a company that produces superior quality homes like this time after time, for 40 years. If you have a beach block, or a rundown shack overlooking the water, you must speak to Denis and his team and discover what type of dream home they can build for you.

Recliner Warehouse

The Internet is a confusing place to do business. What popular name do people search for when looking to buy a famous top quality recliner?

According to Google the answer is confusing as the following names attest: Lazboy, la-z-boy, lazyboy, laz z boy, lazy z boy, la zy boy, laz boy, lay z boy, la z, laz y boy.
That’s ten different spellings used by the public when searching the Internet for a La-z-boy recliner!

How does one cater for such a variety of users when marketing a website on the Internet? We’re not sure, but we have to rely on Google’s assessment of the number of searches conducted and use the most popular.

However, we do know one thing and that is if you want a La-z-boy Recliner, Lazyboy Sofa, Lazboy Chair, Laz z boy lift chair, Lazy z boy modular furniture, La zy boy Rocker, Laz boy Couch, or any other type of Laz y boy furniture then there is only one place to go and that is the biggest La-Z-Boy supplier at Kawana Waters on the Sunshine Coast – Recliner Warehouse. You won’t be disappointed.

Bing and Google in deals with Twitter and Facebook

If you’re a Tweetin, technie nerd like (some of) us, you’ll probaby already know the latest big search engine news from the current Web 2.0 Summit in San Francisco:

Do your Internet Marketing research – carefully!

For us Internet Marketing people Down Unda, it can get a little frustrating trying to do the research necessary in this role with tools and information that are so dominated by the US market.

For example, with keyword research, so far only Google gives us Australia specific information on popular keywords that are used in internet searches. And, in trying to assess which search engines are the most popular among Australian users, there is very little research around that isn’t based solely on US statistics.

Managing your Twitter and Facebook accounts

Managing your social media marketing campaign needs careful consideration as time will be a factor if you’re doing it all yourself.  You also need to consider how you can measure the success of the campaign as nobody wants to do all this Tweeting and posting for nothing.

Building up followers and fans and interacting with them takes up a lot of time. So how much time should you spend on it if you’re a SME owner doing all this yourself?

Twitter and Facebook: Tweeting and posting

So now you’ve set up Twitter and Facebook as part of your new internet marketing strategy, what are you going to do with them?

You need to consider carefully how you’re going to interact with your followers and fans since the idea of social media is that it should be treated a bit like face to face networking in that it shouldn’t necessarily be blasted with blatant advertising. (more…)

Setting up a Facebook page

Do you have a Facebook profile? If you’re trying to market your business, do you have a Facebook page? Do you know the difference between a Facebook profile and a Facebook page? Following on from the previous ‘Setting up Twitter‘ post, here’s how to get going with Facebook.

As an Internet Marketing tool, Facebook is less flexible than Twitter. It’s not as customisable as Twitter and it’s harder to get followers or, in this case, fans.  A Facebook page is for the sole purpose of marketing your business; a Facebook profile is for your own personal use, ie. a way of getting in back in touch with old friends, sending silly messages and ‘poking’ each other! It’s a good idea to separate your personal stuff from your business stuff on Facebook. That way your business connections don’t have to see how childish you can be and your personal connections won’t feel as though you’re constantly trying to sell them things. However, the search engines won’t rank the business page unless you have a personal profile set up first.
