New RSL Website Up and Running
The "new" Maroochy RSL website is up and running just in time for the completion of major renovations that have taken place over the past twelve months to the club. Although some of the RSL upgrade is yet to be completed – expected completion in June/July – most of the improvements are in place.
A new conference centre and multi-purpose function room is at the hub of the RSL renovations and this centre will accommodate up to 500 patrons with the option to divide into 4 smaller rooms to allow for multiple events such as private functions, conferences, trade shows/exhibitions, as well as entertainment. New bars and lounges; a new kid’s play centre called Mystery Island Kids Club that has a variety of activities like rock climbing and a cinema, as well as a whole range of kid’s activities; and a new foyer to welcome members and guests are just some of the renovations to this Sunshine Coast icon.
Of course the pokies, bingo, poker, sports bar, restaurant, bistro and pool room are operating as normal, but you can discover all what’s going on at the Maroochy RSL by visiting their "brand new" website at www.maroochyrsl.com.au Or even better, get yourself along to the Memorial Avenue venue and see for yourself. And while you’re there get $5.50 out of your pocket and take out membership of this fantastic club that provides free entertainment and plenty of great member benefits.
Any visitors to Suncoast Internet’s office will already be familiar with Google the office poodle. As the smallest member of the admin staff, our little woolly friend’s day consists of a busy whirl of meeting and greeting. And when he’s not barking ferociously at the police dogs across the way (from behind the safety of an upstairs window), he’s offering the additional services of Winnie the Pooh and Super Bear to any obliging clients. It really is quite amazing how large and soppy those poodle eyes can become at the merest whiff of food; Google’s nose and paws are a permanent fixture at the lunch table where he enjoys eating anything that humans eat – as long as it’s not a vegetable. Google’s office duties also include toe licking, going for walkies and rearranging paperwork from the waste bin to the… er… floor. If you would like to meet Google in person, you will find him either tucked under the counter of the reception desk or keeping watch next to the front door. You can be sure of an enthusiastic welcome – just don’t wear any thongs!
